Plan loci designs the corporate headquarters for a leading life insurance company in 15,000 sft area floor plate. The site is the 35th floor of a skyscraper in Gurugram with expansive views of the city. The edges of site invite all to stand and look at the city. While the site context drives the planning for the project, the firms branding drives the look and feel.
plan loci explores the branding in 3 ways – the colours, the triangles and the underline. The office is designed to have a lively experience while maintaining a sense of business. Overlapping of geometric and natural organic patterns in materials and lighting is inspired by the branding triangles and the underline.
One enters centrally from the south side from the lift lobby into a reception flanked by meeting rooms and a café. Glass all along the length of these rooms allow a transparent connection with the large central workstation zone. The view extend till and beyond the glazed cabins which respond to the curved perimeter glazing edge on the North side. The central workstation zone has an open exposed ceiling to maximize on a sense of space while the perimeter has a false ceiling. Particular care has been made to maintain high level of acoustics to create a vibrant yet a quiet corporate office.
